About This Job

Baker Hughes Incorporated (BHI) offers the opportunity as an experienced Trade Compliance Manager to join the team in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Under close supervision of Trade Director, manages specific Trade Compliance staff to develop and establish direction & corresponding policies & procedures ensuring Trade compliance in one or more specified Trade Compliance area(s)
• Manages staff in providing analysis of global trade issues such as Country of Origin, Custom Valuation, Export Licensing, and Technology screening
• Sets Trade Compliance requirements for business units & various process owners in adherence with applicable regulatory requirements
< li>Manages company strategies around audit & training related to area of control

Essential Qualifications / Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree or Master degree is preferred
• Customs Broker's license and/or professional Export certification or equivalent work experience
• Good understanding in International Trade, Export Import regulation, Indonesian import export regulation, US Export tools
• 8+ years experience in International Trade and/or Compliance
• 3+ years management / supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications / Requirements

• Demonstrated ability with Customs and/or Export Compliance, in a supervisory role
• Proficiency managing relationships with, and requirements of, controlling regulator agencies including US Customs & Border Protection / Bureau of Industry & Security and programs such as CTPAT & ISA in a supervisory role
• Demonstrated ability working with Compliance software (e.g. Trade Collaborator) and/or SAP in a supervisory role required
